‘Anything begun comes to an end’.  So did the academic year 2012-2013.
Class party was arranged at the end of an academic year where students and teachers gather together and have fun and share their expressions and thoughts of the whole year.
On the 16th March 2013 Orchids- The International School, arranged class party for classes I to V.  Students were seen in high spirits for the celebration. They were asked to dress up in casuals as it was their last day.
As our students were prepared to move to the next class, they invited all their subject teachers and expressed their thoughts. Students cut the cake, shared snacks, sang and danced to their favorite beat.
It was really fun and also a moment of emotions. Overall the class party made all the students join together to enjoy.

WOMEN’S DAY AT ORCHIDS

Peace and social progress require the active participation and equality of women, and to acknowledge the contribution of women to international peace and security a day is exclusively dedicated to the celebration of the world’s women.
International Women's Day is celebrated in Orchids very cheerfully. During the special assembly students spoke about the significance of Women’s Day and a song ‘Power of women’ was sung by a group of teachers marking the significant day. The strength and power of women cannot be underestimated. If women are empowered the society and a nation are empowered.
Principal of Orchids, Mrs. Mona Mehdi introduced the Chief Guest of the day, Mrs. Smita Dugar to the participants. The day was made more significant by Smita, recognized internationally for her culinary skills. She is a Global Indian who believes that there are no boundaries when it comes to food. Smita loved the whole experience of ‘Masterchef India’ and her winning dish ‘Desi Videshi Platter’ was an instant hit. Cooking for HRH Maharaja Arvind Singhji of Mewar and winning the challenge in City Palace, Udaipur was her major high.
Orchids was honoured on having Mrs. Smita as the judge of the culinary products of the parent and teacher participants, who geared up all their skills to participate in the contest arranged on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Various appetizing cuisines of the enthusiastic contestants, neatly arranged, enticed the taste buds of the viewers. The aroma of the sweets and savouries filled the air and the delicious delicacies made a delightful scene.
Mrs. Smita tested the flavour of all the luscious items to decide the prize-winning dishes. As she asserted cooking is done out of love and love can help us to master the art.
